At Northeast Narrow Gauge Railroad Society, Inc.,(a 501c3 nonprofit education and history organization) we are dedicated to preserving the rich history of American narrow gauge railroads including industrial, mining and logging operations. Through education, advocacy, restoration, preservation and operation of antique railroad equipment, we aim to inspire future generations to appreciate this vital part of American heritage from the late 19th to the mid 20th centuries.
Consider joining us on this quest by either volunteering on restoration projects in Pennsylvania or Maryland, writing history articles or donating cash, equipment, equities or real estate to this organization.
We look forward to working with you!
Your donation fuels the restoration of true American railroad treasures, including the nation's oldest narrow gauge coach, 1867 D&H Canal Co. #3, and 1910 Vulcan steam locomotive No. 701. This is living history everyone can see and touch. Every dollar directly supports the work to preserve these unique artifacts.
